5. It's time to think about building a fallout shelter in the backyard?

9. Oh man, I don't normally read Hawkgirl but I might read it just for that. I was re-reading Virtue and Vice the other day and was so happy with the code-name usage.

12. I am too, against my budget's protestations. Even the fill-in issues are good!

6. Wasn't Black Lightning's (a school teacher) offering to tutor Damage one of the things that makes The JSofA end of things the more entertaining of this JLofA/JSofA crossover? (Justice Society of America #6)

I loved that bit. I liked how Damage just -could- -not- keep up his angsty, petulant, tough guy facade in the face of two colleagues being genuinely kind and helpful.

He tries, but it doesn't take long to dissolve into "Yeah... sure, I guess. Thanks." (or something like that). Lovely.

7.. How do you make Sportsmaster boring? (JSA Classified #26)

By not letting him do anything. For a guy who used to go up against Green Lantern, he gets his ass handed to him pretty fast. He spends the rest of the issue on a bar stool...

12. I'm really starting to warm up to the new Blue Beetle title. (Blue Beetle #15)

Me too, but this issue left me a little underwhelmed. I guess I just expected more from Jamie's first meeting with Superman.

11. You do know that that logo The Flash is "resting" upon is Barry Allen's, don't you?

Nope, sorry. The angular notches cut out of the cross-strokes that it's a post-1990 Flash logo, and the lack of serifs suggest that it is, in fact, Bart's current logo.

1. Does anything say "brotherly love" more than kicking each other in the crotch? (Teen Titans #47)

Not at our house!

2. Is it me or has Donna Troy become somewhat tolerable lately? (Teen Titans #47 & Amazons Attack #2)

"Become"?

3. Is it me or does JSofA artist Dale Eaglesham draw Superman extremely handsome? (Justice Society of America #6)

Yes!

4. The mullet's from a different Earth? (Action Comics #850)

Earth VO5.

5. So,what does it mean for the universe when a god dies? (Countdown #48)

6. Wasn't Black Lightning's (a school teacher) offering to tutor Damage one of the things that makes The JSofA end of things the more entertaining of this JLofA/JSofA crossover? (Justice Society of America #6)

A nice subtle touch. Which is why it was in JSA not JLA.

7.. How do you make Sportsmaster boring? (JSA Classified #26)

Oo! Gotta get that.

8. Weren't you glad to see an Amazon finally call Hippolyta on her s*&$%? (Amazons Attack #2)

Yes ... particularly since the Amazons replaced the monarchy with a republic during the Jimenez run. Superboy Prime must have punched the ballot box.

9. Isn't it refreshing to see Justice Leaguers, Hawkgirl and Superman, refer to each other by their codenames? (Hawkgirl #64)

C-codenames? I'm going to have to look that word up on Wikipedia before I answer you, Clark.

10. Could anyone unapologetically enjoy being a male anymore than Hal Jordan? (Green Lantern #20)

Not without being gay!

11. You do know that that logo The Flash is "resting" upon is Barry Allen's, don't you?

And the "Alive" is disintegrating.

12. I'm really starting to warm up to the new Blue Beetle title. (Blue Beetle #15)

I'm falling for it, too.

13. *sigh* Can we keep Chris Batista's art on Teen Titans for a little while longer? (Teen Titans #47)

I'll call Dan.

14. If not, and the rumors are true, can he go to the other Titans title?

Heh. Heh heh.

15. Isn't Batman and Superman's agreeing on a plan of action pretty much shorthand for "This conversation's done?" (Amazons Attack #2)

If Aquaman had been there, there would have been no conversation.

16. How true to form is it that Hawkman's last words in Hawkgirl #64 are "son of a bitch?"

I'd have preferred "Seven Hells!".

2. Is it me or has Donna Troy become somewhat tolerable lately? (Teen Titans #47 & Amazons Attack #2)

"Become"?

It's you.

No, actually, her scene with Cassie in Teen Titans was like seeing a character I'd never seen before (like, a Wonder Woman who has time for her 'sidekick').

YOS:

I beg to differ. Look again the angularity and left to right ascension suggests Barry's old logo.

GREAT blog

I dunno. I think the angle-notches are a more distinctive stylistic element.

On the other claw... that looks a lot like Barry's BELT.

6. That guy is way too young to be 'Crusher' Crock and his hair is the wrong colour. And no way is he the same guy who used to give Alan Scott and Ted Knight a run for their money. maybe Artemis Crock has a brother we never knew about. Maybe next issue the real Sportsmaster appears to whup his kid's ass for borrowing the name without permission.

16. For a guy who used to a millionaire socialite archaeologist, Hawkman sure has a potty-mouth on him these days, doesn't he?

I feel shortchanged that there were only 15 questions.
